  • The Textbook "Essential Stage Movement" by Edward Rozinsky is published recently and together with Video Instructor course is an excellent tool to develop vital Faculties, Habits, and Skills necessary for the profession. It consists of three major parts: Theory, Practice, and Methodology. The first part discusses the history of Stage Movement, different methods and techniques used by contemporary pedagogues, and the role of Stage Movement in the education of future actors.

The Practice section of the book consists of about 200 described in detail exercises for stage movement class, from Warm-up exercises to specially designed exercises in Speech-Motion Coordination, Singing-Motion Coordination, Rhythmicity, Balance, Acrobatics, and the improvement of the Expressive Hand.

The last part of the textbook presents the methodological principles utilized in teaching this subject to students. This section is unique, as most books on the subject of Stage Movement typically ignore the Methodology. Based on the experience of several generations of teachers, this part gives students and teachers a clear understanding of how to make use of the exercises in the best way and to achieve the finest results in the shortest time.

The textbook "Essential Stage Movement" also includes recommendations on how to assemble a Stage Movement program according to the goals and needs of a particular group of students or institution; in addition it contains the music scores to accompany exercises described in the book.
